Danny's mastering process clearly shows his respect for the music he's working on. It's not just a "let's pump it and get it loud" work, his aim is to emphasize and celebrate the essence of the songs. He can make a track sound powerful but very fresh and breathy at the same time. Check his work for Steve Lacy's "Apollo XXI", Wildkatz or The Elovaters to understand what I mean!
