Dance Mastering on SoundBetter

YOUR SPECIALIST FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC. Gold & Platinum awarded Producer /Dipl.Audio Engineer with more then 25 years experience. International chart entries. Hybrid Studio ANALOG meets DIGITAL. Let's bring your song to a competitive quality, technical and emotional level like your favorite artists.

What good is the best song, the supposedly next big hit, or the most expensive production, if the master does not sound right and therefore not competitive?
If you want to compete in the music market, professional mastering is a must.
If you look at the charts, you'll hardly find a song that hasn't been professionally mixed or mastered.

Mastering is also the final instance of quality control before a song gets out to the world.
Like a second pair of ears in an acoustically treated room with a monitor system that immediately reveals any problem.

In the end it is about presenting yourself on all relevant music platforms (such as Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube..) and listening situations (such as a club /festival, radio, living room, kitchen radio, smartphones. or earbuds) in the best possible way.
A complex field in which only the highest quality tools and processors are used and which requires experience and empathy.

It is exactly these requirements that Menck offers as a longtime dipl.audio engineer, active music producer & DJ who has mastered the electronic music genres in all their facets and varieties for decades.
Matt knows exactly what it has to sound like and what it needs achieve it.

Several Gold & Platinum awards, as well as international chart rankings such as US Billboard Charts speak for themselves.

  28. A: Starting with a carefully listening session of the song & stems to see what is needed to improve it in the right way. If there are any mistakes or weak spots, we discuss with the customer what can be improved from his end in order to archieve the best possible mastering result. The actual mastering process begins in the second phase. No matter whether it is quick turnaround, or a more complicated case, the master will only be sent out when we are satisfied with the result. In some cases this can take several days. Since mastering is always a question of taste, we are going to ask the client if he would like to have any changes before the project is going to get closed. Up to 3 revisions are always included without any extra costs. We are only happy when the client is satisfied as well.

  29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  30. A: The key of a good mastering studio (besided of the engineer & experience) are monitor speakers, room acoustics and hybrid processing (analog & digital). We trust in the current topline series of Focal Trio11 monitor speakers and Subwoofers. For midrange balancing and for radio simulations we use the cassical Auratone Cubes. Apple Mac Pro 16Core The entire range of classic and current processors (analog & digital) is available for the actual mastering process. Focusing on a warm, punchy and powerful sound with analog touch, Dance Mastering uses tools from: Bettermaker, WES Audio, Solid State Logic (SSL), Neve, Dangerous Music, Thermionic Culture, SPL, Handcrafted Labs, Tegeler, Universal Audio /UAD, Waves, Sonnox, Izotope, FabFilter, Elysia, Slate Digital, Pro Audio DSP, Maag Audio, Black Box Analog Audio, API, Softube, Vertigo, Shadow Hills and Soundtherory, Oeksound, Weiss, Zynaptiq, Acustica Audio amongst many others.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: More than 25 years of experience in the field of electronic music production, mixing & mastering. In addition to the purely technical aspect, a large portion of empathy is required to understand the wishes and needs of the customer and of the song itself. Keep on learning every day.. As an active producer and DJ for many years, there is hardly to find a more experienced mastering engineer who knows exactly how electronic Music has to sound these days.
