Saxoccordion. Songwriting!

I love to co-write. Session saxophone + multi-instrumentalist. I love composing, arranging and layering winds (sax, flute) and reeds (accordion, melodica) as well as backtrack production for touring bands, and set arranging.

Hello! I'm Chris del Camino from California. During most of the 2010's I was on tour with reggae/pop act HIRIE. As one of the founding members not only was I instrumental in working collaboratively with the artist in songwriting, pre-production and recording for her debut album, I continued to grow as a performer and creator on tour where I learned how to integrate my musical ideas into our set via composing unique backtracks to enhance and deepen both our live songs and the transitions/buildups/etc, so I love crafting those "in the zone" set moments which also tend to include fun choreography and epic musical moments. I also work as a session musician, primarily on saxophone but I also love to be given the sonic and creative opportunities to go beyond and layer in other instruments when I can, be them organic or synth based. As a songwriter, I love to co-write and co-inspire and help give songwriters a critical eye, and my contributions often come in the form of unique chord progressions or edits which reduce lyrical busy-ness in favor of more negative space. I love helping find a song its unique way to give a push/pull or A/B or buildup/release, either via chords, rhythmic/beat changes, or sonic/production-induced changes, and I'm always very keen to learn what I can from others that I work with and for as well.
