I am experienced in recording, editing, mixing, and mastering music, with a focus on classical/acoustic music. I've worked with artists such as the Boston Symphony, Yo-Yo Ma, and Gil Shaham, and with organizations such as New England Conservatory and the Aspen Music Festival. Let me bring your acoustic recordings to the next level.
My name is Jacob, and I am a Boston-based audio engineer and producer who specializes in recording, editing, mixing and mastering acoustic music. I have worked with artists such the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Augustin Hadelich, Yo-Yo Ma, Seong-Jin Cho, and Midori, plus organizations such as the Aspen Music Festival, New England Conservatory, and Soundmirror Recordings.
Whether you simply need some edits on a stereo track, or you're planning a fully orchestrated film score, I can help you find the right tools, spaces, and people to get your project done right, on time, and on budget. As a violinist myself, I have a musical discretion that many engineers and editors lack. I work in some of the best acoustic recording environments in the world, such as Boston Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, and Futura Productions, and mix/master in my custom home studio as well as at Futura Productions' Atmos mastering studio. I work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from student recital recordings to major commercial album projects.
I can offer turnkey services for your project, or I can offer individual services such as
-Stereo and surround music mixing (classical and contemporary)
-Audio editing
-Studio/on-location audio recordings
-Producing recording sessions
-Pitch correction
-Noise reduction/audio repair
-Music mastering
