Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup is a blend of high-quality hardware and cutting-edge plugins, designed to provide both analog warmth and digital precision. One of the standout pieces in my gear is the Teletronix LA-2A compressor, a classic hardware unit that delivers smooth, tube-driven compression, perfect for adding depth and warmth to vocals and instruments.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Serban Ghenea is one of my favourite engineer, whose work has had a profound impact on modern music production. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to enhance the emotional core of a track, Serban has become synonymous with high-quality mixes that sound dynamic, polished, and radio-ready. What inspires me about Serban Ghenea is his ability to seamlessly blend creative artistry with technical precision. His work showcases a deep understanding of how to bring out the best in a song while maintaining clarity and balance, which is something I strive to emulate in my own production and mixing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients involves taking their raw recordings and transforming them into polished, professional tracks. This includes mixing, where I balance the levels of individual instruments, apply EQ, compression, and effects to enhance their sound, and create spatial depth through panning and reverb. Once the mix is finalized, I handle mastering, ensuring the track meets industry standards for loudness and clarity across all playback systems. I also provide production services, such as adding instrumental layers, refining arrangements, or collaborating on creative decisions to bring the artist's vision to life.
