Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Seb Berrios, is incredibly talented vocal producer and session guitarist. If you need to get vocal tuning, timing or arrangement to the highest standard, he is your man. Also being an established session guitarist in London circuit, he can help you out with any guitar related work and add some mojo to your tracks.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: There is no black magic involved. ;-)
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Great record is a team effort. Surround your project with talented people who excel at what they do. There is no single person who can do everything.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path is quite cliche, started as an intern/tea-boy working my way to becoming freelance mixer/master engineer. Been at it since 2009.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, pop, edm/house, hip-hop.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I am always trying to bring what is required for the song, be it my technical expertise or versatile creative approach to the mix.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Everything starts with understanding the vision and needs of the client. My work process entirely depends on that.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in both, analog and digital domain. However, I prefer working in digital nowadays due to the convenience of it, utilizing a couple of outboard pieces.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I get inspired by great records, I believe there are lots of talented people out there doing fantastic job in audio world.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My main focus is mixing and mastering.
