Nacor Zuluaga Mixing & Mastering in Stereo and Dolby ATMOS - Avid Certified: Grammy-nominated hybrid mixing and mastering. Engineering credits include Enrique Iglesias, Andra, Deadpool, and Tom Ford.

After being mentored by Mark Christensen in 2011-2013 mastering projects for artists like Robin Schulz (on the Grammy-nominated Remix of 'Waves' by Mr. Probz for Best Remix), Trey Songz, and 50 Cent, in 2021 I joined Alex Tumay in his daily studio operation at Do What Sounds Good mixing projects for acts like Santigold, $not, ShordieShordie, and Young Thug.

Having worked in commercial studios in NYC since 2011, as staff mix/mastering engineer/operations manager I’ve dedicated myself exclusively to Mixing and Mastering in stereo + ATMOS since 2014.

For the past 11 years and after collaborating with creatives like you and over a hundred production teams around the world, I've learned that the most important part of the mixing and mastering process is to connect as creatives and identify together the needs of the project. This is what enables us to craft a record that captures your vision.

Whether you are just debuting independently or have the support of a label team connecting the dots, my sole intention remains the same: to contribute to your dreams by creating work that is driven by empathy, moves people, and impacts the culture.

Nacor set an impossible standard for mastering and I hope he will work with me again!

I've worked with a lot of engineers to master and they never seem to get it perfect. Nacor did and even offers different options to make sure its perfect for YOU.

I'd recommend Nacor to anyone who wants to master music correctly.

My second job with Nacor! Outstanding work! Exemplary! No revisions needed. He didn’t know that I was using his work as a benchmark to another engineer on soundbetter, who used to much compression. “Girl I’m Ghost” Tanuke ft. Styles P of the LOX drops 2023 @tanukemusiccompany (IG)

Nacor works super hard to get the best possible results. Patient and knowledgeable with an amazing ear. Couldn't ask for more.

  7. Review by Hosanna S.

Nacor is the best engineer I've worked with to date. First and foremost, his mix and master capability is so good. My song sounds so clean I can't get enough of it, cleanest song on my discography (Seruksessions - Mamacita). Even aside from his proven ability, his patience and willingness to cooperate and bring the best out of you as an artist, going above and beyond what you signed up and "paid" for is incredible, he was teaching me as we went along. He clearly cares about the craft more than $

Nacor is not only a well knowledgeable, talented, and detail oriented engineer, he also has great communication skills! which is extremely important when picking someone on a site like this as it can be difficult to communicate sometimes. There’s not many I trust with my tracks as I strive for high quality work, but Nacor never disappoints! Look no further you’ll be glad you picked Nacor!

  9. Review by Kanika P.

Nacor is 100% a life-changing engineer. Not only is he easy to work with and communicate with, but he's also willing to work around tight timelines. I was surprised to see how few revisions I needed with him; he seemed to crack the cleanest sound from the get-go; all while hyping up the project. Will definitely be working with him again and recommend him to everyone looking for a stress-free experience.

  10. Review by Curt K.

Nacor was very patient, relaxed and a great listener. This is very rare in today’s short attention span society. Hired for some basic vocal tuning and look forward to using his services again in the future on my Simulated Recordings imprint. Highly Recommended.

Nacor is legend status. Just when you think the sonics of your song can't improve anymore, they somehow do with Nacor. The experience was very custom tailored, which can be rare when moving into mixing and mastering. Highly recommend Nacor if you are looking to take your track to the highest level possible!

  18. Review by Matt G.

The mix came out sounding amazing. Even in a song with many competing sounds Nacor found the perfect placement for all parts. Nacor has an excellent work ethic, coming back with revisions quickly and hitting all the outlined points.
Highly recommend working with him, as I will be again as well.

  19. Review by Nicholas M.

Nacor is the ultimate professional and our experience with him was amazing. He was patient and accommodating. He showed that he is out to help artists achieve their goal by creating the sound they had envisioned. Very responsive and passionate about his work. Would highly recommend him and will be working with him again.

Interview with Nacor Zuluaga Morelo

  1. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  2. A: Clients don't hire me for my gear or to create a mix. Clients hire me because they respect my taste in music and know that I can help them make their music sound professional and well crafted.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: When clients ask me how they can make their records sound bigger and more mature I encourage them to use the least amount of tracks in their arrangements. When I produce, I try to keep my track count as low possible and avoid layering unnecessary elements. Keeping things simple is certainly the key to massive/in your face records. The abundance of space within the production lets the mix breath and reach greater perceived loudness without having to max out your headroom or doing much EQ carving. In music, less is certainly more.

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: A creative set of ears and a skill set that carefully crafts a story for each song I work on. A refresh and assertive sound.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Chameleonic. Good communication is the most important vehicle we have available to create your dreamed record.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: I always ask people about their goals and needs on any given project, understanding people's background and dreams allows me to structure a plan and engineer the record with precision. Every project is DIFFERENT.

  11. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  12. A: Mixing a really exciting EDM record.

  13. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  14. A: The absolute best of me on each song I touch. I will make sure our experience working together is a time where we can enjoy ourselves while we unveil the purpose inside your music.

  15. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  16. A: The personal connection I build with each single one of my clients and their craft.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: Good discernment and musicality.

  19. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  20. A: Both, you can achieve incredible results in both domains if you are CREATIVE and experienced.
