Working on Pop and Hip-Hop multi-platinum projects for Young Thug, 21 Savage, Enrique Iglesias, Jessie Murph, and on films like Deadpool, and for brands like Tom Ford and Shiseido, has led me to a fulfilling career in mixing and mastering Grammy Nominated & Multi-platinum records.
After moving from Bogotá to NYC, I was mentored by Mark Christensen from 2011 to 2013, mastering for artists like Robin Schulz (Grammy-nominated Remix of 'Waves'), Trey Songz, and 50 Cent. After lockdown, driven by a deep desire to connect with people, I joined mixer Alex Tumay to assist on releases for acts like Jessie Murph, 21 Savage, and Young Thug.
Working tirelessly in commercial studios since 2011 and surrounded by Grammy-winning engineers, inspired me to focus exclusively on Stereo + ATMOS Mixing and Mastering. I've been privileged to engineer for 400+ production teams worldwide, release my own records, and coach 100+ students on how to do the same, all of which underscored the importance of genuine creative connection to craft songs that win fans.
I now have transitioned from working in commercial studios serving label clients to running my own studio with a modern workflow. This approach lets me prioritize independent artists, offer flexible, budget-friendly services, and maintain a full schedule that keeps the fire burning.
My goal is simple: TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR DREAMS BY CREATING WORK DRIVEN BY EMPATHY AND THAT IMPACTS OUR CULTURE.
My client, Prohaize, once said: "Contact Nacor for life-changing studio & engineering skills. He's incredible." If you’re ready, I would love to hear your goals when inquiring—I’m here to help.

Nacor set an impossible standard for mastering and I hope he will work with me again!
I've worked with a lot of engineers to master and they never seem to get it perfect. Nacor did and even offers different options to make sure its perfect for YOU.
I'd recommend Nacor to anyone who wants to master music correctly.

My second job with Nacor! Outstanding work! Exemplary! No revisions needed. He didn’t know that I was using his work as a benchmark to another engineer on soundbetter, who used to much compression. “Girl I’m Ghost” Tanuke ft. Styles P of the LOX drops 2023 @tanukemusiccompany (IG)

Nacor is the best engineer I've worked with to date. First and foremost, his mix and master capability is so good. My song sounds so clean I can't get enough of it, cleanest song on my discography (Seruksessions - Mamacita). Even aside from his proven ability, his patience and willingness to cooperate and bring the best out of you as an artist, going above and beyond what you signed up and "paid" for is incredible, he was teaching me as we went along. He clearly cares about the craft more than $

Nacor is not only a well knowledgeable, talented, and detail oriented engineer, he also has great communication skills! which is extremely important when picking someone on a site like this as it can be difficult to communicate sometimes. There’s not many I trust with my tracks as I strive for high quality work, but Nacor never disappoints! Look no further you’ll be glad you picked Nacor!

Nacor is 100% a life-changing engineer. Not only is he easy to work with and communicate with, but he's also willing to work around tight timelines. I was surprised to see how few revisions I needed with him; he seemed to crack the cleanest sound from the get-go; all while hyping up the project. Will definitely be working with him again and recommend him to everyone looking for a stress-free experience.

Nacor was very patient, relaxed and a great listener. This is very rare in today’s short attention span society. Hired for some basic vocal tuning and look forward to using his services again in the future on my Simulated Recordings imprint. Highly Recommended.

Interview with Nacor Zuluaga
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Working on "Nos Fuimos Lejos" by Enrique Iglesias, Andra, and Descemer Bueno, marked a point of fulfillment in my career as a mixer and mastering engineer. I felt privileged to have the opportunity to work with these titans.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Having a blast mastering the album of the Music Tech senior class of Edward R. Murrow H.S
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The absolute best of me on each song I touch. I will make sure our experience working together is a remarkable time where we unveil the purpose of your music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The personal connection I build with each client and their craft.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as an immigrant student, shadowing studio sessions while learning English at Engine Room Audio. After graduating in 2012, I became a part-time intern and got a promotion soon after to become a full-time Mastering Assistant. Later on, I was promoted to become Operation Manager in 2015 and through that opportunity I discovered a strong passion for education becoming an Audio Engineering teacher to new students coming through the studio.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to craft clean and big-sounding records that translate effortlessly on any speakers.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Latin
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Artistic sensibility, emotional intelligence, and healthy communication.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. Get in touch with me to discuss your project. 2. Send assets 3. Make a deposit 4. Expect the 1st Mix or Master (Main Pass) in 4-6 business days.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a Shadow Hills Console as the center of my mixing and mastering workflow feeding Pro Tools for mixing and Wavelab for Mastering through an Orion HD 32-ch AD/DA converter. My current monitoring includes Barefoot Footprint 01 speakers and Audeze LCD-x headphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Camilo, Jungle, and Pharrell Williams.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Multitrack mixing and stereo mastering for independent artists.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Clients don't hire me for my gear or to create a mix. Clients hire me because they respect my taste in music and know that I can help them make their music sound professional and well crafted.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When clients ask me how they can make their records sound bigger and more mature I encourage them to use the least amount of tracks in their arrangements. When I produce, I try to keep my track count as low possible and avoid layering unnecessary elements. Keeping things simple is certainly the key to massive/in your face records. The abundance of space within the production lets the mix breath and reach greater perceived loudness without having to max out your headroom or doing much EQ carving. In music, less is certainly more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A creative set of ears and a skill set that carefully crafts a story for each song I work on. A refresh and assertive sound.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always ask people about their goals and needs on any given project, understanding people's background and dreams allows me to structure a plan and engineer the record with precision. Every project is DIFFERENT.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, you can achieve incredible results in both domains if you are CREATIVE and experienced.
