Hey there, my name is Sydney and I make records. I’ve been involved in all kinds of records in all kinds of ways, whether it be producing, recording, mixing, even playing or writing on occasion. I can most often be found in downtown Toronto at Desert Fish Studios.
Main speciality is Mixing Records. Our main reference is Manny Marroquin. Female vocals, harmony composition and singing including both traditional and complex harmonies, I also can play a few different instruments: rhythm guitar, ukulele, electric bass, some upright bass, some piano, assorted percussion. I compose music too: folk, pop, and rock songs.
I offer a professional approach to all Studio applications, with experience drawn from a diverse range of projects from Films, Classical, Pop/Rock/Alternative, Folk, Jazz, World, Choral and Gospel. I take great pride in my work and have a great deal of enthusiasm for my job.
I'm a producer/engineer/mixer and multi-instrumentalist. I'm based out of my studio in Pasadena Ca. I'm also available for online sessions. I play guitar, bass, mandolin and keys. I also write and arrange. I have recorded, produced and played with - Slash, Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland, Sheryl Crow and many others.
When I started my studio, I asked myself “How can I set myself apart from other studios out there? What exactly do independent musicians on a tight budget hate about the studio process? How can I meet their needs, and make the studio experience better?” I've been on both sides of the glass so to speak. I've also toured, and been in bands.
