I'm an independent music artist, producer & songwriter. Formally studied music production, mix & mastering on a professional level at ULACIT, Costa Rica.

A Detroit-based composer and producer, Jake was born into the trade, fashioning his sound by playing drums, piano, guitar and bass, all by ear, starting at eight years old. By 15, he founded his production and publishing company, Boca J Music, and he was already catching the eyes and ears of the Detroit music scene.

Being familiar with the recording studio for 32 years, I’ve done sound design and production for several tours, studio albums and video games. I’ve have worked with Sleep Study, Dave Pirner and Michael Bland of Soul Asylum, New Power Generation, Mayda, Phil Solem of The Rembrandts, Dan Wilson of Semisonic, to name a few.

I'm in the business of music production for the past ten years. I'm in my 2nd year of studying Audio Engineering, and my goal is to be a full-time producer. I'm producing mainly Pop, Edm, and sometimes hip hop.

I am a huge fan of 60's,70's soul/funk/disco/motown/hiphop grooves.Feeling,unique sonic texture, warm atmosphere, good sounded recordings are my goals. if needed I blend different sounds using my vintage drum kit, drum machines and percussion. I give importance to recording technique to get that sound.
