Hi, I’m the lead guitarist for Grammy-winning band Soul Asylum, with extensive worldwide recording and touring experience. I specialize in bringing the right parts to your track—blending creativity, feel, and precision across genres including alt, indie rock, psych, pop, rock, punk, metal, funk, acoustic, and fingerstyle.

Artist, songwriter, and California -born record producer James Kaye has almost done it all. From performing internationally with DJ Pauly D and being on MTV, writing songs with Kanye West and French Montana, and coming fresh off a 28 city tour as a DJ, Kaye is no stranger to the music business.

Through the use of a mix of technics, from computer music, classical composition, live instrumentation, field recording and also some auto-generative data, I work on creating sound environments that not only (sometimes literally) talks with us but also connects with our inner selves and provoke our senses to respond in creative manners.

I've been doing music for over 30 years as a producer, songwriter and amateur engineer. My production style is mostly electronic r&b and hip hop. A few classic rock sample remakes. At present I have signed an agreement to distrbute a song with Sickdance Records. I write whole songs and create whole tracks from scratch. I play keyboard.
