Kevin “Rural” Whyte has more than 15 years in the fields music production and mixing for artists worldwide. Mr. Whyte is also a unique artist known as Rural, has achieved great success with his lyrical depth and melodious delivery worldwide with DJs spinning his hits in rotation as far as Africa, Europe, Jamaica and USA.

Bass ace hired-gun living in the NYC area. Played 130+ shows in 2019 and recorded on dozens of projects. My ear is geared towards pop music of every era, style, and magnitude whether it be glitzy Top 40, Motown-esque retro-soul, or whispery bedroom synth pop. I love to bring that secret sauce in the low end that will make your project POP!

I've been featured as a solo violinist on such productions as the Netflix show Sense8, the Daniel Radcliffe film 'Jungle', the Chinese feature film 'In Full Bloom' and the PBS documentary 'T-Rex-Her Fight For Gold'. I provide an intimate and poignant sound, can improvise, read midi or sheet music, create textures and soundscapes.
