I’m Dillie — a Kenyan music producer, composer, arranger and sound architect with nearly 20 years of hit-making experience across genres. From Afrobeat, Dancehall / Reggae, Hiphop and R&B to cinematic scoring and sound design, I deliver polished, culturally rich audio that moves people.

Unlike many of my fellow mixers here on SoundBetter, I have no awards, no name artists under my belt, or clients with a gabillion streams on social media. What I do have, is a killer work ethic with the end goal being to ensure all my clients walk away completely satisfied.

I was the staff engineer at Audiotree Studios in Chicago, IL from 2013-18. I now co-own Friends of Friends Recording in Chicago, IL, with my partner DeAnna Doersch. My work has over a million monthly streams via Spotify alone. I'm drawn to the human experience through music and how it is perceived. An artist at heart and a listener by trade.

Armah is a rapper, songwriter, DJ, audio engineer & record executive who helped launch the careers of Boston based singing group Ahmir & Houston based hip-hop artist Young Twinn. Armah holds an Associates degree in Recording Arts from The Los Angeles Recording School & a Bachelors degree in Entertainment Business from The Los Angeles Film School.
