Justin Abel is a recording engineer, producer, and mixing engineer based out of Portland, OR.

Music is my life. I am an avid hip hop instrumental composer/producer, however, my passion comes from the film industry. I am a keen composer and creator of film sound, be it music or sound design, I have an ear for aural aesthetics.

I've worked for over ten years in the music industry with major labels, indie artists, and in film/tv across every genre and every setting imaginable. Whether it's the bare minimum or the total maximum, no matter what stage your song is in, I'll get it where it needs to go.

I create head-nodding, punchy and emotive tracks that really speak to their audience. As a producer and mixer, my goal is to achieve that 'goosebumps' effect for my listeners as often as I can! I can do it all in-house to the highest standards - drums, piano, guitar, you name it - all for a very competitive price.

I am a singer-songwriter, who also does game and film scoring. I have previously worked as an arranger, my forte is work with small chamber ensembles. Have scored Balakirev's Russian Folk Tunes for orchestra (orchestrated from piano sheet score). I am open for any type of collaboration.

I can compose and perform/record basslines for other musicians in the rock/pop field whether it be original songs or covers.
