Hello Everyone. My name is Shawn Carter and I am a freelance music producer, engineer, mixing and mastering musical artists. I also sing and am a songwriter, plus DJ on occasion when I feel like it hah. There's not much I don't do in regards to music and audio for film so I'm always looking to meet awesome artists and make amazing art!

I specialize in full production and beat programming, be it hip-hop, electronic, or going for organic, realistic programmed drums that nobody would ever think were programmed. I've done work for/with Jason Mraz, Talib Kweli, Killer Mike, Inspectah Deck, Killah Priest, Emancipator, CloZee, Champagne Drip, Sophie Barker of Zero 7, and more.

I have written/sang songs for artists including 3LAU, Seven Lions, Said the Sky and have many of my songs synced TV & Film including shows such as Bravo’s “Girlfriends Guide to Divorce”, MTV’s “Are you the One?” “Suspect” and the recent film adaptation of Slender Man. Collectively my songs have 30+ Million streams.

I am a trumpet player who can cover a wide range of musical demands. I think of myself as an go-to artisan who can blend with a lot of different styles and genres. From my home studio I've done recording for a Nickelodeon internal demo, a short film for Blue Phoenix Filmworks, collaborations with the band Vansire and RnB artist Carmen Marie.
