Founded by Chris Lambrou, Black Kite is a home recording studio based in North London, England. Lazy Keys (aka Matthew Shaffner) is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and engineer with a background in a wide array of genres including Indie/Alternative Rock, Hip Hop, RnB, Funk, Disco, and more. His vocal style is very powerful and was derived from such inspirations as Muse, Coldplay, New Politics, Cold War Kids, and Mutemath.

I started out as a musician and grew to have a passion for the creation process whether it's writing, recording, or mixing. Coming from a musical background and playing in bands I understand how it feels to hear your music come to life after a recording or mixing session. I want the people I work with to feel that same sense of accomplishment.
Raised in the classical piano tradition, I now have the freedom to explore across any musical genre with the mic and console, no longer restricted by just a black and white keyboard.
I've had created/innovated some bass technics in the middle 80' such as the Double Thumb. Also, I've performed around the world with some of the best Brazilian's artists. Currently, I'm working with music production, creating beats, recording, mixing and mastering for the biggest artists from Brazil.
I'm Ian, and my passion is to make your music as good as you want it to be.
