Hello world of music! I'm Fifth Element aka Junius Liles and I'm a freelance audio engineer, photographer, and videographer. I'm a graduate of the Colorado Media School where I've studied radio production, film and audio production, and web design.
Born in the early 1950's,Plainfield,NJ, I Grew up affected by the music of Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie. In my teens Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Doo Wop, early Rock & Roll. Began writing in earnest at the age of 9. Poetry paints pictures in an impressionistic way that I relate best. I Began teaching myself Guitar in 1970. Wrote my first songs in 1971.
I'm a long time underground musician, delving into producing, editing and mixing music for many years. My solo effort is quite recent, but I have a couple of metal productions in the works and the ability to send reference samples to those who want to try my services.
Let me help your vision shine through the crowd. I work quickly because of my years in live audio. Instead of applying a cookie cutter approach to mixing and mastering I truly listen to your reference track, and only do the necessary processing, using my hand built analog tools and a compliment of the latest plugins.
