I started as an artist myself (still Am) that naturally evolved into recording myself and friends. It got to the point where I was tired of rapping on other artists beats - I wanted to start owning my music!!! This is when I realized the importance of investing. Whether it was investing money, time or energy -I had to keep investing!
I felt very seen when Andrew Marlin, mandolinist from Watchouse, said, fingers and voice trembling as he held his mandolin: "the world is more than bluegrass." I used to practice playing faster and faster ... and I felt completely empty. So I am exactly the wrong guy if you are seeking lightning fast licks, etc. My approach is different.
