Gavin Lurssen has been a mastering engineer since 1991 and has been in the forefront of, and contributor to the many technical developments that have taken place in the industry over the past two decades.

Garage rock attitude, laidback jazz groove, or a heartfelt ballad: whatever the feeling, I elevate it to highlight the uniqueness of the artist. In an age of cookie cutter music production and AI mimics, I help artists develop distinctive voice and sound.

Multiple Grammy winning guitarist, arranger, and member of Snarky Puppy. I specialize in mixing genres; I studied jazz and funk, but I grew up on rock. I'm into punk, hip-hop, country, mariachi--you name it I've done the deep listening and I love to recreate different sounds. I also arrange for string sections, string quartet, and horns.

With early mentoring from Bob Cubitt (Audio Engineer, The Vogues), a strong sense of vocal production is obvious in my mix. I specialize in fabulous indie rock n roll with a lot of experience in the singer/songwriter genre as well. A perfectionist at heart, I use high-end equipment to make everything sound as radio-ready as possible!
