I am Ian Holmes, a freelance music producer and audio engineer. I currently work in recording, post production and live events production.

I started producing music on tape multitracks in the early 1990's. 25 years later, I'm now lucky enough to have the use of Teesside University's state-of-the-art Pro Tools HDX facility, and to work with some very talented people both at the university and at my record company, Coastline Records.

I had the chance to breathe music since I was a little child. During my university years I discovered a hidden passion for electronic music production. To get the sound quality I wanted I realised that I must study to become a professional mixing/mastering engineer.

With 8 years of hands-on experience, I’ve honed my craft in mixing tracks that resonate. Being completely self-taught, I bring a unique ear and creativity to every project. I’m not just following textbook techniques—I’m crafting a sound that’s uniquely you.
