Experienced guitarist in both acoustic and electric, fingerstyle and riffing with 15 albums of original music recorded over 30 years.
I was in the first American act signed to Chrysalis Records and have appeared and written songs on releases with Black Sheep (Capital Records), Lou Gramm (Atlantic Records) and many, many indie releases with different bands including DDrive and 3 solo releases.
Industry experienced music graduate with a demonstrated history of working in music production, audio post-production, and with previous involvement working across multiple media project used within TV and Film.
We are The Firin Squad and much like the Wrecking Crew, The Hitmen, or 1500 or Nothin we a collective of artist who love to write and produce hits. Also mixing records when its applicable.
FILM COMPOSER
Pencil & the instrumental is a songwriting entity that caters to hip hop, pop and R&B music. I specialize in all styles of hip hop with a focus on wordplay and lyricism. I can also write catchy and melodic pop and R&B songs.
A background of classical piano studies and thousands of hours absorbing and interpreting a pop/ rock/ alternative music, old and new, I have a unique set of ears that will bring out the most musical and dynamic side of your songs. Although mixing is my main trade, I have a full understanding of the entire process from recording to mastering.
