The Drum Editor on SoundBetter

Make your drums flawless

Hello soundbetter! My name is Jon, founder of thedrumeditor.com. I'm here to fix the timing issues with your drum recordings so you don't have to. I can tighten up your drum performance as much or as little as you like. Some artists prefer to go with 100% "on the grid" perfection, while other artists may want a lighter touch to maintain more of the original performance. Either way, I'll make sure everything is done quickly, and exactly the way you like. I also offer most other audio editing services you may need. I look forward to working with you and helping you make your music sound great! Feel free to check out thedrumeditor.com for current rates and more information.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I will take care of your music and make sure you're happy with how it turns out

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: Engineering in some form since 2005

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Perfectionist

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: You!

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Get it right from the start! The less you have to fix after the fact, the better. Never "fix it in the mix!"

  14. A: Open to all, but so far it's been metal, rock, and jazz

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: Editing

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: Perfection! Or at least helping your performance sound better by comping the best parts together and improving the timing

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: After communicating with the client about their needs, they send me the audio files, I edit them, I send an mp3 for verification of work, and if they're happy with what I've done I send the edited files.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: Primarily edit with Pro Tools

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: My specialty is multi-track drum editing. I can comp and fix timing issues. But I offer lots of other audio editing services as well.
