Make your drums flawless
Hello soundbetter! My name is Jon, founder of thedrumeditor.com. I'm here to fix the timing issues with your drum recordings so you don't have to. I can tighten up your drum performance as much or as little as you like. Some artists prefer to go with 100% "on the grid" perfection, while other artists may want a lighter touch to maintain more of the original performance. Either way, I'll make sure everything is done quickly, and exactly the way you like. I also offer most other audio editing services you may need. I look forward to working with you and helping you make your music sound great! Feel free to check out thedrumeditor.com for current rates and more information.

Interview with The Drum Editor
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My specialty is multi-track drum editing. I can comp and fix timing issues. But I offer lots of other audio editing services as well.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Primarily edit with Pro Tools
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After communicating with the client about their needs, they send me the audio files, I edit them, I send an mp3 for verification of work, and if they're happy with what I've done I send the edited files.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Perfection! Or at least helping your performance sound better by comping the best parts together and improving the timing
Q: What's your strongest skill?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Open to all, but so far it's been metal, rock, and jazz
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get it right from the start! The less you have to fix after the fact, the better. Never "fix it in the mix!"
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
Q: How would you describe your style?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Engineering in some form since 2005
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It's come a long way. It sounds great and has unmatched flexibility, speed, and ease, especially with editing! And it's nondestructive. If I screw up, I just hit undo and try again
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will take care of your music and make sure you're happy with how it turns out
