Producer/Songwriter/Topliner || Wrote and produced a Domino's pizza jingle in Guam || My top-lining technique = mumbling + melodies >>> lyrics
Before quitting my steady, respectable job at a high-growth software company, I snuck my music in software demo videos I created at work, released my initial EP, Future Self (re-released in Nov 2019), and wrote commercial jingles for dozens of brands (including Domino's Pizza).
Now I split time between my hometown Indianapolis, IN and Nashville, TN as a songwriter, topliner, and producer.
Check out my solo indie-alt pop project for some examples. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/76wEp2zZFGD6ZgZbTRiMHi?si=iIg1-kxwQBiu2nhku3ETxw

You won’t be disappointed with Marcus’s efficiency and high quality production work. Easy to work with as well!
I’ve worked with Marcus a few times and love his work!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Marcus on a fun, and fresh sounding track. He has a fantastic ear for melody, production, and mix. He responds quickly, and has a great up beat, and polite attitude. I plan to write with Marcus much more in the future, and I highly recommend you work with him as well.
Interview with Marcus Wadell
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My solo indie/alt pop project - Cradle Cat.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Aaron Bonus - great producer and writer to work with.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ryan Tedder, because I would love to learn from him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Bring in elements of a song one at a time to keep things moving.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: On my own solo project - indie/alt pop. With other writers, I work a lot on contemporary r&b, pop, and country pop, but I'm always up for anything! Country is the main genre I don't have a good sense of melodies for.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vibes, and then cadence of melody (what syllables feel good where)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a relentless optimism to a group, I follow and guide the vibe (knowing when to keep things fun and lighthearted, or when to dive into more serious topics when needed lyrically).
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For any project (co-writing especially), I like to spend some time at the beginning just getting to know the person I'm working with, seeing what they're going through, and learning about where they're at in life. That's always where the best feelings for a song develop.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: benny blanco, Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Kid Cudi, Eminem, Ben Gibbard, Run the Jewels, El-P.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Co-writing. I really enjoy helping an artist convey the idea or feeling that they want to communicate with melody, lyrics, and song structure.
