Experienced female vocalist with ultimate versatility for some of the hottest producers in pop, r&b/soul and afrobeat, including Oren Yoel (Miley Cyrus), $likk (Ariana Grande, Tank), Druski (Nick Jonas, Kelly Rowland), Kevin Teasley (Chris Brown, J. Lo).
Greetings and thanks for checking out my SoundBetter.com profile.
I am an experienced female vocalist and top-liner available for Pop and R&B style tracks.
I typically negotiate my rates in one of two ways:
- A work-for-hire rate (ideal for BGVs and pre-written songs requiring a lead vocalist)
- A reduced rate and a percentage of the song share. (ideal for vocal work requiring songwriting/top-lining)
My home studio recording set-up features professional gear and plug-ins featuring the Slate VMS (mic) and Apollo Twin MKII pre-amp.
All sessions are delivered comped and tuned and dry.
I am highly communicative with my clients throughout the process.
Most jobs are completed with 7 - 9 days.

She had a great singing voice, and she had great results with many ideas and suggestions.
The work was very polite and gave more than my ideal result! And the personality is also the best!
Will definitely work with her again.
She really did a great job taking it to the next level.
More than I can imagine. Super! Thanks once again for
spicing up my song.
Lauren is super talented! Her songwriting skills in form of the melody and the lyrics are professional and impressive. Working with her was fun and the communication went super well. I would definitely choose her again for future projects!
Always on point! Awesome vocals. Fast and Professional to make my
song super! Thanks once again.
Sometimes you run into people or a situation that you have know clue what the outcome will be. You just hope something good will come out of it. To much good came from working with this beautiful woman. She has a voice that is awesome to listen to. I have gotten the pleasure to hear it without the mixing board touching it. Awesome. She is timely, professional and communicates. I hope to work with her in the near future. Thank you again Elle.

Interview with Lauren 'Elle B' Ball
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Studio recording and live vocal performance.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record through the Slate Digital VMS through Apollo Twin MK II interface with Neve 1073, real-time autotune (just a touch), and Fairchild 670 limiter processing into Ableton Live 9.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I record, I typically record five takes of each section (eg verse, pre, chorus, bridge) and then create a comp lead vocal. Depending on the song, I will add my overdubs and harmonies, the follow-up with background vocals.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Stellar vocals with a stunning ability to execute timing, diction, tone, and feel.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My vocal dexterity to match genres. My background began in choirs, singing gospel and RnB, but trained in Jazz and musical theater and worked for 8 years as a background vocalist for Katy Perry singing pop.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Typically pop, electronic, r&b.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Khalid. He's got a classic soul voice but puts out really strong pop music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soulful, urban, pop.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm an artist in my own right. I have been in the industry for more than ten years, mostly on the live talent side. I am pivoting to focus more on songwriting and studio performance.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please be clear about your expectations by providing references, key, BPM and expectations for the finished product. The clearer you are, the better.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That singers aren't musicians. The best ones are skilled technicians at what they do and know how to get a great vocal performance under any circumstance.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creating a memorable performance. This can be tedious but the payoff is great once you've turned over a great session to the producer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Songwriting and new original music.
