Session/Live Player / Artist living the dream (haha) with my family in Nashville. Mostly track guitars, but love doing synth/keys, acoustic, and bass as well. I love taking something flat, & making it pop, or playing just the right thing to feel the emotion of a song.
I'm in a band called Leeland, and write/record for TV/Film, and music licensing websites. I live in Nashville living the dream with my family. Mostly track guitars, but love doing synth/keys, acoustic, and bass too! I love taking a track to the next level & making it pop, or playing just the right parts to stir the emotion of a song.
I've recording for artists/producers like Michael W. Smith, Bethel Music, Jason Upton, Fleurie, Phil Wickham, Audrey, Normies, Ed Cash, Vertical Worship..

Interview with Casey Moore
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: 75% of my work is tracking for CCM/Worship music since my background is in Christian Music, but I also write, and produce pop, folk, rock and alternative genres.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Lots of friends here in Nashville that have been crushing the game for a long time. It would take too long to list everyone that inspires me! But as far as bands go I love the sounds from Coldplay, U2, Killers, Death Can, Bon Iver, The Eagles, Tame Impala, Queen, Boxer Rebellion, Eisley, Loud Harp, Andrew Bell, Switchfoot, Matt Kearney, Thad Cockrell
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Neumann monitors, 18’ Apple Desktop, UAD Apollo quad twin. Lots of guitars, bass, acoustics, Synths
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Obviously getting the vision from the artist for their music and what they want it to sound like and what they want to say with it.. one of my favorite things is making a song come alive and exceeding expectations of the artist.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I don’t like to limit myself with boxes so really the sky is the limit. Nothing we can do!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Well I guess melodies are what inspire the most.. whatever I can do to creative something that will stick and leave an impression, not just a filler but always something beautiful.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, CCM, alternative
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Very basic, but don’t overdo anything. It’s easy to over compress, put too much effect on a track. Keep it simple and make art.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Too many to list. I love working with everyone.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like everything :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Been in a band called Leeland for almost 9 years now playing guitar, singing, and writing.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Ac30, delay pedal, strat. An anolog synth and headphones.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: High Expectations :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How I can serve them best.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it may be too expensive, but I always try to meet the artist budget where they leave with a product they love and with a great value.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: If I can help them finish the idea they have in their head when they can’t quite describe what they actually want. We can go through the process together.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That’s it’s not a job. It’s so much fun and I can’t belive I get to do it for a living.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: They will leave with exactly what they want and that I can exceed any expectations.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Why limit ourselves?? We need it all!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Brenton Miles is one of my closest friends and he’s an amazing producer, singer, songwriter.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A live record, a pop ep. every week is different though!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Our band Leeland’s last record, Invisible. Got to work with my dream team of a band and got to create something that can inspire people that may not typically love Christian music.
