Lu is a mix and mastering engineer. He works out of his home studio in San Diego. A career spanning over the last 12 years recording and mixing artists such as Ziggy Marley, Iration, Third Eye Blind and Band Of Skulls.
Lu has spent the last 7 1/2 years working at SXM / Pandora Media. He was one of the lead mix engineers for Pandora's "Whiteboard Sessions" You Tube channel. He also worked with branded content teams capturing live audio and mixing such artists as Tim McGraw, JD McPherson, and Andy Grammer. His passion is mixing and mastering recorded and live audio.

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I like to get to know the client and what their vision is for the project. I will listen to the material a few times and get a feel for the music and create a rough mix. I treat each song as a unique piece of art while also making sure the product as a whole has a common sonic thread to tie it all together.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Mac Pro, Pro Tools, Logic X, Adam A7's, UAD-2 Plug Ins, Slate Digital, FabFilter, Sound Toys, Melodyne 4, Izotope RX5, Waves.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Daniel Lanois is the master at depth and sonic brilliance. I am also highly influenced by Dub mixing. One of my career highlights was assisting Dub producer Scientist.

A: My passion is mixing music. I love the process of bringing the artists work to life.

A: Delay is my best friend.
