Great experience once again! He is extremely patience and wants to know what exactly it is that I’m looking for. He delivers a quality products and is open to suggestions. I also like his creative ideas and details he adds to the work. It’s refreshing to have an expert that doesn’t require any hand holding.
Awesome guy to work with , knows what he is doing and is super friendly. Works with your ideas and makes them better.
This was my first time on sound better, and Chris was great to work with! He had clear communication, and made my songs super spicey. I will be hiring Chris for the next round of songs for sure! Only great things to say from me!
It was a pleasure to work with Chris. He took care to understand the song and gave it that certain something to take it to the next level. He was passionate from the beginning and I felt at ease throughout the whole process. He is easy to talk to, responds quickly and I could tell he puts me as the artist first to stay true to the vision. Can't wait to start on the next song. Highly recommend anyone who wants a great sound to work with Chris.
Chris has mastered my EP and took the sound to another level. Communication is fast and friendly. Chris knows what he's doing, very customer friendly and on time. He is my "weapon of choice" if it's about the final sound!
Have worked with Chris several times this year. I was blown away with the SOUND Chris got out of my music. His communication and passion for projects are amazing and he keeps the deadlines! His skills truly surpass mixing and mastering - so having him on board with my music is a big upgrade! Chris you rock, looking forward working together in the close future!
Interview with Chris L.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: 4 kinds: 1.) Mixing and/or Mastering music to make it meet the industry standard sound 2.) Taking "a song idea" from just a voice note to a full blown production and finishing it fast! 3.) Songwriting, either from scratch or co-writing and taking everything to the next level 4.) Toplining and arranging it all
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Understand the goal and time constraints and then making it happen, fast, solid and creatively!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Keeping the end in mind and having the drive to acheive it!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what you love and then lets make it happen!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Meeting up other passionate and kind hearted people!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. When I only had digital I wanted analog! Now that I have both I see they work together so well!!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Some singles for Germany and a film music theme for Russia!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Clear communication and quick execution. I know how much passion you already invested, I will not invest less!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever I think it could need. Melody, lyrics, production and a general sound idea.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Everyone has creativity so I am inspired by most people I work with and choose to learn from everyone!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in-the-box as well as analog. I have a lot of real keyboards and real instruments such as Wurlitzer E-Piano, a real Hammond Organ, Korg SV1, MicroKorg and vintage keys like the Hohner PSK60. But just as much love my virtual instruments and sound libraries. From Nexus to East West. That just suits my approach: I love the real thing just as much as modern technology - it all makes for good MUSIC!
