Melissa Lyric is a Music Producer hailing from New Jersey. She obtained her B.A. in Music Production at Ramapo College of New Jersey. During her college years, Melissa embarked on a transformative two and a half year internship at MBK ENTERTAINMENT, under the mentorship of Grammy Award-Winning Producer Swagg R'celious.
Since then, Melissa has been instrumental in producing for a diverse range of R&B and Reggae artists across the United States. In 2019, her talent was acknowledged when she participated in the ASCAP Foundation's R&S contest and was honored with the "ASCAP ADAMSON LYRIC AWARD," solidifying her position among the industry's top emerging talents.
Her music portfolio includes notable collaborations, such as co-producing Shari Marie's "U REMIND ME" alongside Swagg R'celious. In 2021, Melissa collaborated with Trevor Brown to produce Disney Amyka's debut single, "Feel Good," which enjoyed widespread success in Jamaica and received radio play on renowned New York City radio stations like Hot 97 and Power 105.1.
Most recently, Melissa had the honor to work with Gender Amplified and SERATO for Women's History Month, working on their exclusive SERATO Studio's "Unfound Sounds" Sound-pack, released in the summer of 2023.
Melissa's dedication to pushing boundaries and amplifying women's voices in the industry are some of her driving forces.

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Drum programing and melody.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Feel good drum programing and warm catchy melodies.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am extremely excited to have been one of the nine producers who worked with Gender Amplified and composed loops on and for Serato’s “Unfound Sound’s” sound pack available worldwide via Serato Studio.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Independent artist’s projects, sync placements and label pitches.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Working with me, I will never give you bare minimum. I actually care about every record, I am apart of. Feeling, vibe, drum programming and sonic scape is so important. Let’s create and elevate your song’s idea, because production is the foundation and bed for your song.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The ability to impact a listener via sound and spirit.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your goal for the record (Intentions) ? What is the tempo and sonic soundscape you are looking for? Do you have a possible ref playlist in the realm of other production’s you like to explain the sound your looking for?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, uad twin interface, sony c800, neve 1073 preamp and m-audio midi controller.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been producing for over twelve years.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My current absolute favorite producer’s are Cardiak his drum programming is out of this world and D’mile’s musicianship and arraignments incredible.
