Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. You can't release music without them working together.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Recently, I produced and mixed an album for a canadian singer/songwriter. We worked hard to create a beautiful, dynamic and evocative album. The songs take me to very cool places.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Indie Rock, Rock, Electro, Folk, Americana
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing and producing songs for a new artist with a new major label signing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your ultimate goal for your songs? Are you aiming for the radio? Sync? Album? Demo? Gigs?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That it never feels like a job
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly mix artists songs so they are ready for the radio. I also get asked to edit timing and intonation of vocals quite a lot.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: All passionate and serious artists inspire me.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is a great mix of analog and digital gear. Pro Tools HDX, Neve, Urei, and API outboard gear. SSL console. Curve Bender and Cranesong.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process starts with understanding the artist's ultimate goal for the songs. The rest of the process is focused on attaining those goals. I also focus intently on the timing and intonation of all vocals.

A: a lot of listeners
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: The ability to work on a song with extreme focus on very small details as well as shaping its overall excitement and appeal from a 30,000 foot view.
