I am working as a sound engineer and music producer in Kolkata for last 10 years. Worked in different places and corporates. I have a vast knowledge about Music Arrangements, Sound Mixing and Mastering. I am playing with a band called 'Missing Link' which won multiple awards in last decade.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I am always there to help and provide service to customers. Just a few things we need to agree before we start working in a project. They are like clear communication about the music, carrying forward and executing the idea to the final arrangement should be flawless.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, portable audio interface, mixing headphone, a dynamic microphone and a micro midi keyboard.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am musician since 2002. Working a daytime job in a radio station as music producer and sound designe and started composing commecially in 2019. Worked with some of the best artists in Bengali music industry like Rupam Islam, Babul Supriyo, Timir Biswas, mekhla Dasgupta and many more.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am yet to recognize it but yes, I try to be honest with the song I work with and I try to see the story the song wants to tell us.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Mr. Amit Trivedi. I am a big fan of Mr. Trivedi's music arrangements. The kind of fusion he creates with simplicity of indian music with the modern soundscapes is really inspiring.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try to understand what the song wants to convey. then design it accordingly.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indian Bollywood, indie pop rock style music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing and Mastering.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I will try to bring what the song needs most to be the best.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I work remotely in my workspace. There are different requirements for different jobs. 1. For production: Will need the full rough song idea ideally sung with a click. Will have a virtual meeting and discuss everything the way forward. Usual turn around time for a full production is about 4-5 days. 2. For vocal comping, tuning, guitar session or any other jobs, will need the necessary tracks.Usual turn around time is about 2 days. 3. For Mixing will need the stems of the session (48kHz, 24 bit .wav format). 4. For Mastering will need the Mix file of the song (48kHz, 24 bit audio .wav format).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am very much inspired by a lot of Engineers and Producers like Jaquire King, Chris Lord Alge, Andrew Schepes, Dave Pensado and many more !
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: A very simple setup. A Focusrite interface, Steinberg Cubase Pro DAW, lots of plugins like Waves, Fabfilter, Brainworx, Izotope and many more and of course VSTi like SSD4, Komplete Ultimate, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, Premium Strings libraries and many more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Well, I am a sound guy who can compose songs, arrange songs , mix and master them all by myself.
