Matteo Galesi on SoundBetter

London based Music Producer and Mixing Engineer, I am first and foremost a collaborator! Your music is your voice. Make no compromise!

I am a London-based music producer, multi-instrumentalist, recording and mixing engineer. First and foremost, though, I am a collaborator.

I am passionate about sound and the transmission of energies through space.

I want to turn that sound you haven’t been able to get out of your head into a fully-formed, streamable, digestible, tangible reality – whether it’s in person or working remotely. It’s the enthusiasm that counts, not the style. I am happy to work in any genre, as an extension of your artistry.

Music is the culmination of trust, feeling and identity – it is stepping out into yourself and the world. It is your voice.
It is paramount then that your music sounds at its best, whether you're looking to mix your finished song or start a new creation, I can help you achieve that sound you've been looking for!

Together, we can realise your musical ideas, through an intuitive, inclusive process. My inbox and my ears are open. I want to hear what you want to say.

I have worked with Matteo for many years. He is my “go to guy” for production and mixing. We have an incredible working relationship. He always goes over and above to help achieve the sound I want while adding his own flare and innovation to everything we work on together. My last 3 singles were produced and mixed by him and we are currently in the process of working on something new. If you want a professional, well rounded mix, look no further. I literally can’t recommend him enough - Omahrose (artist and songwriter)

As the singer songwriter EnaFay I have been working with Matteo for about 3 years now. He initially did the mix for my debut single which then turned into him mixing my whole album. Not only does he give you the product you have asked for in the timeframe you need it, but he also adds some of his own creative ideas and takes extra time to advise you further. I was also lucky to have him as the sound engineer for one of my shows where he was attentive, patient and on point.

Working with Matteo in the studio but also the mixing process is always smooth for us, because you know the communication and enthusiasm is always there, that way the recording process flows naturally. Another important aspect for us is brainstorming with our enginner which ultimately adds spontaneity and quality to our music at the end especially for our more experimental sound.

It is always a pleasure to work with Matteo, not only is he a fantastic engineer but also am incredible producer! I have done many recordings with him and I am always impressed by how knowledgable and adaptive he is to whatever you throw his way. He makes the recording process run effortlessly and is very aware of the finished product and the steps you can take to achieve the sound you are after.

Interview with Matteo Galesi

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: There are no wrongs, if something speaks to you means it's right!

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Electronic, Pop, Indie, Soul, Orchestral

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: Arranging and blending electronic and organic elements, evolving productions that grab and keep the listener attention.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: All (or most) work is done remotely. For Mixing, I will require the usual stems of the song at 48khz plus a list of 2 - 3 reference songs to understand the desired sonic direction. For production, I will set up a call to understand your vision and at what stage you are. From there we will work together in finding the right references and develop your unique sound! If you are not located in London don't worry, I can work on your song remotely, from my recording studio or hired space with top players and equipment (if needed) and you can simply send in your own parts recorded from the comfort of your home and I will do the magic from here :)
