Composer with extensive experience across television, film, and theatre, and a deep artistic connection to contemporary dance. I create music that moves — blending emotion, texture, and rhythm into powerful narrative soundscapes.
Composer with a strong background in film, TV, theatre, and contemporary dance — now expanding into the world of game audio.
My music blends emotional depth, rhythmic tension, and narrative clarity, crafted from years of creating soundtracks for movement, choreography, and dramatic storytelling.
I bring a cinematic, expressive approach that enhances gameplay atmosphere, character emotion, and world-building.
Whether it’s immersive ambient soundscapes, high-energy rhythmic cues, or thematic character motifs — I compose music that makes players feel and dancers move.

Interview with Ran Bagno
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I always encourage new clients to take a moment and listen to some of my work. I believe that after hearing the music, it becomes much clearer whether I’m the right person to join their artistic vision.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, midii comptroller, SSD 16tb, headphones, solar panels.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to collaborate with producer Daniel Lanois, whose remarkable ability to create an entire world between two speakers continues to inspire me. His work — whether for film or across genres — transports the listener to a vivid sense of place and time. That rare, immersive quality is something I deeply admire and would be thrilled to explore alongside him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The only real tip I can offer is that music is all about balance. Throughout the creative process, I often hear the moments where something feels out of balance — usually a reflection of how I was listening to myself at that stage, and how that shaped the result. That’s why a central part of my process is maintaining an honest, balanced form of listening to my own work. When I stay tuned in that way, the music becomes clearer, more refined, and ultimately reaches its strongest expression.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: It’s difficult to define a single style of music I work in, as each project brings its own artistic requirements. However, when I compose for dance — especially contemporary dance — my focus becomes incredibly sharp, and the music takes on a unique level of refinement. My signature voice is most recognizable in the pieces I create for modern choreography, where my personal style has the clearest space to shine.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: One of my strongest abilities is shaping a powerful atmosphere — a vivid emotional and sonic space in which the music can truly come alive. Finding the right atmosphere often requires experimentation, exploration, and refining ideas, and that process is something I genuinely enjoy. It’s through this creative trial and discovery that the music evolves into a world that fully reflects the emotion and intention of the project.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My work with clients begins with an open dialogue about their vision. I take the time to listen deeply and gather as much information as possible to understand the artistic world they’re aiming to create. Together, we build a shared vocabulary — an emotional and sonic language that helps me connect to the true intention of the project. From there, we define the core musical elements: motifs, tone, texture, and the unique sound palette of the piece. Once this foundation is in place, the creative process begins to flow naturally, allowing the music to grow and evolve into a soundtrack that fully reflects the client’s artistic vision.
