Jeremie Inhaber on SoundBetter

Mix engineer with 3+ years' experience working on Grammy-winning and chart-topping artists (Lizzo, Vampire Weekend, Post Malone) under Grammy-Award winning mixer Manny Marroquin. I'm a Canadian who isn't afraid of low end. Let's chat.

Me: looking to work with talented producers, managers, A&R's and artists and build relationships with up-and-comers.

You: looking for major-label, radio-ready mixes.

I came up at legendary Larrabee Studios in Los Angeles, and have worked in a multitude of genres. I'm credited on projects ranging from Post Malone to Glass Animals, Celine Dion to MGK, Juice WRLD to Jorja Smith, Kid Cudi to Troye Sivan, and love the unique challenge of understanding different artists' aesthetic and delivering within that context. I also love to help artists discover their unique sound, and craft new sonic palettes to elevate an artist's vision.

I have atmos mixing capabilities as well, and can deliver immersive audio mixes for upload to DSP's.

Drop me a line and let's see how I can best serve your project.

I was really pleased that I could work with Jeremie via Soundbetter.com since I had already heard a little about Larrabee.
He mixed 2 of my songs, different genres, distinct styles, and aesthetics. I was already in awe when listening to his first pass because that already sounded like certain song on the charts.
He's amazingly fast with feedbacks and never disappoints with updates. If you're an unsigned artist but looking for perfect mixes that sound like hits on the charts, work with him!

I’m super glad I reached out to Jeremie. He not only understands but respects your artistic vision, utilizing his skills to bring your song to life. Jeremie’s mix added emotion to our song, enhancing what we loved about it, and his mix easily competes with commercial mixes. I wish I had reached out to him sooner!

Jeremie has an incredibly unique way of bringing the heart of the artist's intentions to the forefront of every production he's involved in. His ear for detail is unmatched, and his ability to create a cohesive space for every element of the arrangement to inhabit is unlike anything I've ever heard. There is truly no better set of hands you could trust to handle your material than his.

Interview with Jeremie Inhaber

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Each mix I do is unique and custom-tailored to what the song calls for. Making a Common record sound like a Meek Mill record would be a mistake - I don't use templates, and I try to help accentuate the vibe & emotion already present in the track. That means becoming an extension of the production and doing what's best for the record, not necessarily imposing my "sound" on the track.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Take the track as far as you can. The more finished the song & production is before I sit down to it, the better idea I have of where you would like the song to go. Should the track be bright and spacey? Dark and tight? I can certainly make those decisions, but I'm more likely to end up closer to what you want if I have more sonic direction before starting the mix.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I like to work on a wide variety of genres - it keeps me fresh. I like the challenge of learning to operate in different musical headspaces, and understanding what kinds of techniques I can take from one genre and apply to the other. What can I learn from a Post Malone record that I can apply to a Carrie Underwood record?

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I played electric and upright bass throughout highschool in pretty much any ensemble that would let me join - jazz combos, rock bands, orchestras, punk bands, you name it. I always saw music as a hobby though, and applied to college as a civil engineer. On a whim, I auditioned for their music program, and was accepted. The day after I graduated, I moved out to Los Angeles. I started working at Larrabee Studios three months after I arrived, and I worked my way up to join Manny Marroquin's mix team. Throughout my four years at Larrabee, I probably worked on over 1000 songs, and learned from some incredible engineers. Since then, I have left to pursue a freelance mixing career here in Los Angeles.
