    Amir knows a lot about EM, his knowledge of electronic music composing tools is really good.

    However, if I could suggest a few things that would be replying to the messages bit quickly.

    Another thing would be to not push musicians to create the whole song themselves, this is what he said to me. I mean if I knew this I would not come to a composer!! :)

    Anyway, Good luck Amir with your stuff.

    Amir is one of the best musicians I know, he masters any instrument he touches and he also has a great ear. I highly recommend him!

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I produced an EP for an artist that I adore in Israel called TALMA. I am the producer and most of the songs are my compositions and texts.

  3. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  4. A: What do you want the piece to reach? How do you feel about it now? What are your expectations?

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: A piano Then a violin cause it is a never ending story instrument. Then a nice bass (amp included in the one piece I hope) then a Macbook with Logic and a sound card And a big block of papers and watercolours!

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: Herbie Hancock. He´s God´s son. Miles Davis...But he is already in the sky

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: Cross-over. I have many influences. From Classical (old) to fresh techno beats.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: Listening. After that, feeling whats right for the piece, and then creating everything inorder to achieve it.

  13. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  14. A: New serious of paintings called FIRE BIRD (after Stravinsky) and learning many J.S.Bach piano pieces!

  15. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  16. A: Idan Altman, was a teacher, stayed a friend. Ohad Nissim, we were working together in a non-musical environment. Great Guy!

  17. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  18. A: BOTH! Analog has a hmmmmmmmm and digital has a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,,, I play analog stuff but we live in a digital world.. I believe both should be taken to consideration.

  19. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  20. A: That I´ll do my best to make them happy with what I do. (They must know that creative process is not only happy happy joy joy... but I´ll do my best to help them along the way)

  21. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  22. A: I simply do what I love. This means, I create things, change things, get the chance to pluck strings, or bow them, arrange stuff.. Being in my element.

  23. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  24. A: Be brave! But also have dreams that can be fulfilled.

  25. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  26. A: Playing piano (and Double stack Organ) since 3. Violin since age of 6. Guitar and bass from the age of 13. Playing with electronics since 16. I met Sitar at the age of

  28. A: Since it is made of many styles- I would call it - Contemporary Music (or art) with respect for the past.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: My long experience and complex multi instrumental thinking. Also my life experience, which most of the time much more important than good technology or technical juggling.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: Listening. Thinking. and then play and improvisation. When everything is clear from the beginning the process can be sometimes boring- there is nothing bad at that,,, But I always try to find something new and exciting.

  33. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  34. A: My studio is a unique salon. I have many instruments, A computer, soundcard, mics and stuff. This place is not a normal "Musical Studio" as we normally think about it. I paint here, I read here, I think here, I train Yoga here. It´s a place to be.

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: Musicians and artist in general that is open hearted and free to go sometimes against "whats right" in this moment and think about art and above time.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: I play, I mix, I think, I feel. I paint, I eat but most important, I breathe.
