Am a professional Music Producer/ Bass Player with 11 years of experience. Worked on various projects with top artist here in my home town as a producer and a recording artist as well. Am capable of creating a unique sound for each project i get a hold of since i professionally studied various styles of music including my own home town as well.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Fayrouz karawya's album " Albak ze7am " . took us 2 years for this album to come out...it has an idea that was to bring world music in with our Egyptian flavor and to present it with jazz as well. we recorded all the album Live which is something that doesn't happen everyday here in egypt. I was the music producer for the album , bass player , guitar player , and composer of 9 songs in it as well.

  4. A: My own album

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Analog...nothing can beat the warm and the feeling of " alive " in its sound.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: A unique sound !

  10. A: Creativity Meeting new people Challenges in new styles and requests

  12. A: When can u finish it up ? it takes me a week

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That we don't have all the time in the world if u don't know what u want.

  18. A: always look forward for something creative .

  26. A: Richard Bona - Mokhtar Samba - Mark gulliana - Nguen le - Karim Ziad - Brad meldhao they are all a main inspiration to me.

  28. A: Don't show off , ur part of the creative process that its goal in the end is a success to the project. be a team player.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Jazz World Music Ethnic Funk Oriental Brazilian Reggae

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Taking ur familiar type of music and mix it with different styles from all over the world and bring in the ethnic oriental flavor to it.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: Brief Discussion with the client about what do i have in mind Demo Modifications till satisfaction Recording Mixing and mastering

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: i have a small home studio setup that i produce my stuff on it and record bass as well with my MarkBass pre amp. and when i get to record the rest of the project live , i have a partner ship with one of egypt's top studios here that i get special rates for it .

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: As a bass player i usually get the call for the session a couple of hours before , i have no idea what am i gonna record, i go hit the studio listen to the track, write down my charts , find the perfect sound, discuss with the producer what is he looking for and try to nail it as fast as i can to save him time. As a music producer, am all about the sound, whether if its a small project , a song , a commercial . i get the brief from the client and then start finding a sound to it that satisfies his own requirements and at the same time to have a different sound for it.
