I create original electronic music and soundscapes that bring a distinctive atmosphere to each project. My work combines ambient, minimal techno, cinematic sound design and psychedelic influences, shaped by a long-standing exploration of music, consciousness and sound.

I’m Mário Cales, an electronic music producer, composer and sound designer from Portugal. I create original music that blends ambient, minimal techno, cinematic sound design, organic textures and psychedelic influences.
My approach is focused on creating atmosphere, emotion and a distinctive sonic identity rather than following formulas. I can develop a track from an initial idea, reference, mood or visual concept, or work with existing material to shape, arrange and expand it.
I’m particularly interested in working on music for artists, films, animation, games, visual art, installations and other creative projects where sound is an essential part of the experience.
My own work as EC=MC² is the foundation of my production style and serves as a portfolio of my approach to electronic music, sound design and experimental sonic environments.
