I’m Mic Schroeder, a Berlin-based music producer, mixing engineer, songwriter and arranger with more than two decades of experience working with artists, bands and labels.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with artists such as Joris, MIA, Rea Garvey, Anna Loos, Lotte, Glasperlenspiel and many others.

My approach is simple: the song always comes first.

I’m not interested in making every production sound the same. I want to understand what makes an artist unique and then build a production and mix around that identity — from intimate and organic to modern, powerful and radio-ready.

I work across Pop, Indie, Rock, Singer-Songwriter and Acoustic music, and I can get involved at whatever stage your project needs:
production, arrangement, recording, editing, vocal production, sound design and mixing.

One of my strengths is seeing the bigger picture. Sometimes a song needs a better mix. Sometimes it needs a different arrangement, a stronger sound, a different vocal treatment — or simply someone who listens from the outside and knows what to change and what to leave alone.
