I provide a professional and high quality service and work on your project until you are utterly in love with the result. I take pride and care in bringing your vision to life, approaching each new project as if it were my own.
Terms:
💡 Payment 50% upfront (non-refundable once work has begun) with the remaining 50% to be paid once you are fully happy with the result. Please note I do not send dry stems until the job is marked 'complete'.
💡 I do not offer the use of my name on projects (there are occasional exceptions), though I do have an alias that can be used should you be looking to feature a vocalist on your track.
💡 Any co-written tracks I require 40% royalties, though full buyouts can be negotiated.
🎙Chest Range: F3-B4 (possible to go up to C5-C#5-D5 but very much dependent on the song)

Interview with Holly
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to you is that I will absolutely look after your music as if it were my own. I bring new energy, commitment and passion to every song or project I am involved in, and I understand the crazy mix of excitement and apprehension that can occur when a client hands over their treasured music to someone they don't know. This is why I stay in touch, let you know when I will be working on your song, and truly invest myself in your project. I suppose my most important promise is that I will work on your song until you are 100% in love with what I have produced for you- you're in safe hands.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I love most about being a full-time singer is that I get to do what I love, every day. Soundbetter has exposed my voice to producers and musicians from across the world and I have had the pleasure and honour of working on so many wonderful projects. From major label EDM tracks to independent theatre songs, from television adverts and radio jingles to writing melodies and lyrics from the heart, no two days are the same. If there is one thing in my life that I will never tire of, it's the power of music, and the joy that singing sparks within me.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: In order to deliver exactly what my client is looking for, I always take time to gain an understanding of the vocal style the client is looking for on their song. For example, would they like a strong and soulful delivery? Or a more open and light sound? Some clients have very clear ideas on what they are looking for, and often send me links to other songs to use as a reference which is really helpful, however other clients may be more flexible and open to my personal input, which is equally as brilliant as allows me to express myself and add my stamp to the song. Other information that I find really helpful is the timeline or any deadlines the client may be working to, the structure of the song/ lyrics, the BPM and providing all the necessary tracks to begin my work.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work primarily on EDM, Soul, Funk and pop songs, though I often get hired for Musical Theatre songs as well as having had many years experience singing for radio jingles and power intros.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have invested in an industry standard vocal booth for perfect recording conditions, as well as a Neumann TLM 102 and Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen). My vocals have been released on major labels using this setup, and many producers have commented on the quality of my recordings.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love the vocal tone and delivery style of artists such as Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse, Adele. I also listen to and love the music of artists such as Allen Stone, Lake Street Dive and Sammy Rae, both musically and vocally.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The work I undertake on Soundbetter is so varied which I absolutely love, however I most commonly get hired to sing the topline on pre-written songs, be that on EDM, House or Musical Theatre songs. I also get hired to write topline melodies, lyrics and backing vocals. As a choir leader and arranger I always particularly enjoy writing and recording backing vocals!

I've had a fabulous time this year participating in the 2020 season of 'The Voice'. Over a period of 6 months I was whittled down from 15'000 singers to the eventual top 50 girls. I had the opportunity to sing in front of Will.i.am, Tom Jones, Meghan Trainor and Olly Murrs, and it was the most amazing experience!

I've had great fun working on a project this week for a University commercial that will be used on television, internet and radio in South Brazil for the next 180 days. I loved the melody, and this particular job gave me a real chance to belt and use the bigger, 'soul-sister' side of my voice. It was also in my sweet spot dream key (E), so I was an extra-happy singer this week!
