Blake Wisner on SoundBetter

Hi! Stoked you made it here. I've written songs for/with artists such as Kodi Lee from America's Got Talent, Nurko, Fairlane, Kaivon, Armnhmr, Sabai etc. I have over 72 million + total work streams, and wrote a #9 Global Charting iTunes track. Been full-time music for 8 years.

What I can provide:
1.) Writing from scratch. Myself or we can come up with a chord progression and tempo we want to work around, along with the direction of lyrics.
2.) I have a folder of vocal ideas with minimal production around them to showcase a vibe that you can choose from.
3.) Melody/lyrical help or creation of vocal topline over a pre-produced track.
4.) I can provide vocals for pre-written songs (songs written by YOU)

All vocals come fully produced, edited, tuned, mixed with lead vocals, stacks, harmonies, and adlibs. If you need some vocals IM YOUR DUDE!

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Blake Wisner

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: If Found - Away From Me, because regardless of how it did stream wise, it was the first song I feel deserved to go ultra ultra platinum, from the place I was at mentally when I wrote the song to the production, it's truly one of my favorites.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Paul Van Dyk song

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Yes! I have a lot of friends that sing as well.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital because it's more convenient, I could write a hit anywhere if I had my mic and laptop.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: That by the end they will feel like this song is a piece of them!

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I get to help people's visions come to life! So cool watching it happen in real time

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: What is the turnaround time from first payment. Typically 1-2 weeks.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Lmao, that I'm a douchebag because I have bleach blonde hair and can sing.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: If they are open to being collaborative in the creation and songwriting process. When they are free to hop on a zoom call. What they've been going through in life or what their thinking process was when they were creating their music.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Come with a strong vision or be open to creating a vision with me. I can always figure it out on my own, but it's much more cohesive of a song that will resonate more with the producer when we can get a firm direction on where we want to take the song.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Laptop, mic, Apollo, headphones, guitar

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Been playing music for 27 years, singing songwriting for 17 years, and full time music for 8 years

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Honestly depends on the song I'm working on, can go from sad boy emotional, to high energy rocktronic, to sexy smooth slick, to creepy dark breathy.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Labyrinth, because after his 2026 Coachella set, his versatility and the way his brain worked was so fascinating to me, would love to see his brain in action in creation mode

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: You don't need a ton of layers of a sample to make it sound fat, you just need the right sample that is already fat.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: EDM for work & soul/pop for my personal project

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring the emotion with hooks that will get stuck in your head!

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I enjoy diving into the mind of the producers brain to see where they were at when they created the project to get a better understanding of the vibe they are going for, as well as figuring out their favorite types of singers and vocal performances so I can deliver a product that is exactly tailored to their liking!

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

Honestly, I want to perfect the song, unless its a huge re-write or re-record, I'm down to revise stuff if needed before release. My name being on the track will be dependent on my management's liking
