Interview with DexXter
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Album ARCHETYP by DexXter – a unique project blending rap with EDM, DnB, and house, featuring singer Michal Kixo Ivanco and Producer Yonit from eastern Europe
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Yes, every day, from start of the day to end of the day
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Nobody now
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both options: analog has value and excellent sound, while digital provides surgical precision, detail, and consistency across platforms.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Work is done with attention to detail, clear communication, and consistency across revisions until the track reaches its intended level. HIGH QUALITY
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about the job: Releasing finished tracks and seeing them performed live at concerts — hearing the final sound translate into real audience energy and stage impact.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you make my vocals sound professional?” Yes. The focus is cleaning, tuning, balancing, and shaping performance so it sits properly in a modern commercial mix without losing character. “How long does it take?” Depends on the source material and scope. Simple vocal polish can be fast, full vocal production or mix revisions take longer based on complexity and feedback cycles. “Do you work with raw recordings?” Yes, but quality matters. Clean, well-recorded vocals always produce significantly better final results. “Can you match a reference track?” Yes, within realistic limits. References are used for direction, not copying, to achieve similar energy, balance, and clarity. “Do I need studio experience?” No. The workflow is adapted to the client’s level, from beginners to advanced artists.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Biggest misconception: That “good plugins or presets” are what make a track sound professional. In reality, tools don’t fix weak source material or unclear artistic direction. The real work is in performance, recording quality, arrangement decisions, and detailed manual shaping so every element fits the track’s intention. Plugins only enhance what is already properly captured and structured.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you wanna be a PRO ? 👑🤟🤝
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Pripravené tak, aby to okamžite motivovalo klienta napísať: Before working together, it helps to know exactly what you want from the track — release-ready single, demo, or label submission. Send a reference or direction so I can match the sound and energy precisely. I work best with clean vocal recordings and clear goals, so I can shape the performance, mix, and overall impact without limits. If you’re serious about leveling up your sound, send your material and we can start shaping it into something release-ready.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Weed, Food, Porto, Girl, More weed
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started with hands-on recording and self-learning in music production, building skills through real studio work, experimentation, and constant refinement of vocal recording and mixing workflows. Focus shifted toward vocal engineering, production support, and final sound polishing for modern hip-hop/trap projects cca 6years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Unique new-sound masterpiece ✅️
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Tragikomix TKX, MadMado - Real g's 🤝
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Support artist and studios.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rap, Trap, DnB, House, LiveBand
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocal production and sound shaping — getting raw vocals to sound clean, controlled, emotionally strong, and mix-ready. Focus on performance enhancement, arrangement flow, and making tracks sound commercially competitive while keeping a unique character.👑
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Strong vocal direction, recording precision, and production input focused on clarity, emotion, and commercial impact. I shape vocal performance, improve flow and delivery, and help refine the overall structure so the track sounds cohesive and release-ready.🤟🎵
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Start by analyzing the track and identifying weak points in vocals, arrangement, and energy. Then I record or refine vocals, focusing on timing, tone, and expression. After that I move into editing and processing (cleaning, tuning, layering if needed), and provide production suggestions to improve impact. Final step is mix-ready polishing so the song translates well across systems and feels consistent and professional.🔥
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Studio setup built around a Lewitt microphone with audio interface, Tesla headphones for reference listening, Marshall and Behringer monitors for mixing playback, and Cubase 15 Pro as the main DAW.
