Laurence Rodman

Berklee-trained Mandolinist

Laurence Rodman on SoundBetter

Berklee-trained mandolin player (electric and acoustic) with extensive touring and recording experience available for your project!

Began playing mandolin in 2000, influenced mostly by the bluegrass masters and The Grateful Dead. Played around Los Angeles for several years before attending Berklee College of Music in 2008 as one of the first ten mandolin principals accepted into the Acoustic Strings Department studying under John McGann. Graduated with a degree in Music Therapy and a Minor in Songwriting and continued to write, play, tour and record mandolin parts in a variety of acoustic and electric Jam/Americana groups in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Also proficient in basic guitar, singing, hand drumming, and arranging.

I'm available for any mandolin performance needs, live or in studio, as well as songwriting assistance at any step of the process from concept to completion. Please reach out and let's see if I can help fill out your sound!

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
