Marcelo is very professional double bass musicians, efficient, creative and talented.
Can't believe Marcelo, he's always the best player in the room, always knows his parts and he is a camaleon. He would show you beautiful parts for a jazz piece and then he's playing powerful lines for a rock band. But the mystery is how he nevers makes a mistake!!!!!
............................................Oscar Fernando Perez, singer for Tender BeatsMr Marcelo is an excellent musicians/ bassist. Glad to know Mr Marcelo and have him record on the latest project. He is very articulate, open-minded, and flexible to work with. If I went into an Italian restaurant for a small meal of penne arrabbiata and pellegrino. He will serve the best arrabbiata with all the right ingredience to provide a delicious meal. So in terms of music, he is a great bassist and overall musician! Till next time, Ciao Mr Marcelo!

Interview with Marcelo Maccagnan
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a home studio where I record strictly Bass. I do Electric, Upright (Acoustic) and Synth Bass in here. My main instruments are a Jazz and a Precision Fender basses. A 5 string Fodera. A 5 string Fretless Ibanez. A Russian 1950s Acoustic Fully Carved bass with a beautiful deep and rich sound, I can do either Arco or Pizzicato on it. And my synth bass plugins I run on my computer. I also have a variety of pedals for effects. To record I either do D.I. on my Avalon Preamp or I add a mic on my MarkBass or Fender Amp. I sometimes (usually for acoustic bass) do a mix of both D.I. and mic.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I believe that with the advance of internet, music industry got a chance to develop itself further that it ever has. Right now there a more musicians, and the overall level is much higher then what it was 10-20 years ago. With that in many , my answer is that I have many musicians that inspire me. But my main inspiration when it comes to session(studio) musicians are Nathan East, Carlitos del Puerto, Pino Palladino and Sean Hurley.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I recently been getting a lot of opportunities to record for Indie Rock/Pop Bands that are in need of a clear and professional bass line. Many times there is a new artist coming up, and he/she wont have a full band formed, so they hire me to record bass on their album or EP to have a great bass sound on their final track.
