Film & Media Composer with a creative vision centered on exploring and shaping the unique sonic universe for your project, enhancing narrative and emotional depth through original, high-quality cinematic music.
I’m Dany Santos, a Colombian composer and professional musician specialized in creating original music for audiovisual media including films, video games and commercials. I compose and produce music tailored to the specific needs of each project — not as background sound, but as an artistic language that complements and strengthens the ideas and emotions you want to express. Thanks to my background as a professional guitarist, I have experience across multiple musical genres and styles, allowing me to adapt naturally to different narratives and visual worlds.
My work has received national and international recognition, including selections and participation in festivals such as Bogoshorts (Colombia) and the Krakow Film Music Festival (Poland). I’m fully committed to delivering creative, professional and high-quality music, always aligned with your vision and focused on enhancing the storytelling of your project.

Interview with Dany Santos
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Delivery timeline, references, emotional direction, subtext and budget.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: A clear vision of what they want to communicate through their project.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A solar-powered charging setup, my laptop, audio interface, headphones and a MIDI keyboard.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: My style leans toward minimalism, often blended with subtle elements of my Latin heritage.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Jorge Drexler. I consider him an exceptional and deeply creative musician. His ability to explore different artistic fields with simplicity and originality is truly inspiring.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It’s not the gear, it’s the ear and the mind behind it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I primarily work in film scoring.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My greatest strength is curiosity guided by discipline.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a creative, curious and professional approach to every score.
