Release-ready Hip Hop & R&B production fast, clean, professional
Whatever you need done, I got you.
I’m a music producer and songwriter with 10+ years of experience creating release-ready Hip Hop & R&B records. I specialise in turning rough ideas, reference tracks, or just a vibe into polished songs that sound finished, not “almost there”. I've worked with and contributed to projects involving Trey Songz, Busta Rhymez, Ty Dolla $ign, YG and Joell Ortiz.
I work fast, stay adaptable, and handle the full creative process in-house: songwriting, production, vocal production, mixing & mastering. Whether you need just lyrics or a fully completed track, the goal is always the same, music that sounds professional, feels authentic, and stands out.
Packages available:
• Starter – Songwriting only
• Release-Ready – Writing + Production
• Signature – Full song (writing, production, mix & master)

Interview with Afroking
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, because I was raised in the digital age
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Clear communication, fast turnaround, and a finished result you’re confident releasing.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The fact that I can sit in front of my work station with a blank canvas and come out with something special
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: “How do I make this sound professional?” My job is to handle that so you can focus on the creative.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I work with a team, am hands on with the entire creative process for all my songs I’ve ever released
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What feeling or emotion are you hoping to evoke with your song
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Give as much detail as you can on what you’re hoping to create, this reduces the need for revisions
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, microphone, headphones, a camera and a star link modem
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been independently doing music since I graduated high school, everything I’ve learnt has been self taught so some of my methods may be unconventional but the results speak for themselves
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Upbeat high energy hip hop with hard hitting witty lyrics and punchlines
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kendrick Lamar, because I’ve made my own renditions to a few of his songs which have been well received
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Duplicate your vocal/instrument twice and pan the 2 duplicates left and right at halfway with the volume at around 1/4, this helps make the audio feel fuller
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly Hip Hop and RnB but am flexible with working in other genres
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting: strong hooks, clear concepts, and lyrics that connect.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Direction, structure, and polish. I help songs feel complete, not cluttered.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I for the most part create in real time. Since I handle my own sound engineering, it allows me to be able to write as I record so I can better alter and pivot when I need. I just start with the instrumental and allow what inspires to come through, obviously if am writing for other artists I take their primary objective for the song into account
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record on a Neumann TLM103 and mix on Yamaha HS8. I use Waves Plugins for my mixing
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: J Cole, Ludacris, Timbaland
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting, Production, Mixing & Mastering
