Polivios is a Toronto-born, Athens-based composer and multi-instrumentalist specializing in authentic historical and world music scoring for film, games, and media. With AAA game credits and performance collaborations with Grammy-nominated Carnatic master Chitravina Ravikiran, he brings rare depth to dramatic storytelling through music.
An award winning Guitarist, Polivios has performed concertos (Aranjuez, Giuliani, Gentilhombre) with orchestras across North America and Europe. His training spans multiple traditions: Carnatic music with Ravikiran in India, Byzantine chant with Dmitris Manousis, Turkish/Arabic Maqam with Christos Tsiamoulis and Haig Yazdjian, and early music with Peter Croton (Schola Cantorum Basiliensis). Vocal studies in Toronto (Royal Conservatory), Basel, Germany with renowned pedagogue Jürgen Schriefer, and Prof. Adelman Hamburg Hochschule.
Fluent in classical, electronic, and hybrid production, Polivios performs on original 17th-19th century instruments from his personal collection and coordinates elite musicians worldwide. His multilingual capabilities and deep engagement with poetry, philosophy, and dramatic narrative inform his approach to scoring—treating music as essential storytelling vehicle for stage and screen.
Available for film scoring, game audio, and large-scale dramatic works.
