A: Always reference the oldest and most acknowledged tradition in the genre you're working, to learn the best, time-tested practices from it.

A: - Latin American (most frequently salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaetón). - Country. - Flamenco. - Fado, morna. - Middle Eastern (particularly Egyptian, Maghrebi, Persian). - Greek traditional. - African (afrobeats, afropop, folk).

A: Having a clear big-picture perspective first, then focusing on details.

A: Cleanness, clarity, and a honest perspective based on my classic training in music theory, arrangement, and audio engineering.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. Organize all files (multitracks, demos, references, notes) in folders. 2. Edit, clean-up the raw multitracks. 3. Mix. 4. Send the mix to the client for feedback. 5. Apply the client's corrections, if any. 6. Master (on a separate day when possible, to "refresh" the ears). 7. Send the master to the client. 8. Apply the client's corrections, if any. 9. Deliver the final master file(s).
