John does amazing work! In my case he was able to take, accidental, substandard bass tracks and made them come to life and 100% in the mix. He is patient and does everything possible to produce a product exactly as described to him. He has a very short turnaround for delivery and any revisions I asked for were delivered same day. Highly recommended.
It was so simple and great to work with John.

Great communication, worked quickly, would definitely use again.
John Kennedy. It was an honor working with you. You are a brilliant musician/producer and anyone selecting you for their project will be lucky indeed. You are the nicest and most patient producers I've worked with and your final mix is top, top notch. John works in lightening speed and he has the Midas touch. Five stars all the way!
I've had the pleasure of working with John Kennedy on several occasions. He's the real deal. Excellent songwriter, expert engineer and all-around good guy. Highly recommended.
John is one of my favorite people to work with in Nashville! The first song we wrote together helped me land my first publishing deal. From his honest writing style to the radio ready demos he produces, he is truly a standout in the music industry. I can't speak high enough of John's talent and he is also a pleasure to work with.
Interview with John Kennedy
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. We live in a hybrid world these days. The goal is to get the analog sound in the box - and that can be achieved without the massive budgets of yesteryear.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I can't make you a star. But I can deliver an extremely high quality project at most any budget. I have done this for almost 20 years and have learned the most efficient ways to deliver the highest quality product.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The industry sometimes has the reputation of being nothing but sharks. There ARE people with integrity out there. People that will deliver above and beyond. I consider myself one of those people.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone that relates to what you're doing. Look for integrity and sincerity.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Elam 251, Martin D-28 Authentic, Retro Instruments Sta-Level, Neumann KM84 and Pro Tools...
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It depends on if you're talking about songwriting or production. In songwriting, I would say an ear for melody and truthful, honest lyrics. For production, my ability to listen, cast the right players and know the end goal for the project.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm kind of a Pro Audio nut! I have a small home studio with a hybrid of hardware and software. I have the ability to work in Pro Tools, Cubase or Logic and can mix and deliver an album quality result with any of them.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Classic 70's albums. Country, Rock, Jazz, Blues - my tastes are pretty wide ranging and ever-changing! A modern take on tried and true vintage recording approaches.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I've done many demos for songwriters and produced, recorded and mixed many album projects.
