Interview with Dana Williams

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: A project I worked on that I'm especially proud of is Egytian Luvr by Rejjie Snow, Kaytranada and Amine. I'm proud of it, simply because it was such a fun easy process, and it's always rewarding when a song that brings you so much joy to create performs well. That is what makes being a singer songwriter so rewarding.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on a variety of projects including my own next EP and single for 2026. A Speed Garage project that my friend and I created this year, our first single comes out Dec. 2025. Together, we are writing an EP for 2026 as well as top lining for a variety of artists.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I would recommend Eric Aukstikalnus. I know him to be a very talented and reliable producer and would strongly recommend working with him.

  8. A: What I like most about my job is bringing ideas to life. Turning an abstract idea or concept into something tangible.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: Because I grew up in a musical family, I have been surrounded by music since I can remember. My dad was a rhythm guitar player and spend much of my childhood on the road with the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna. He was also a producer and songwriter, so I was introduced to this career path as an early age. I've been singing, writing and recording music since I can remember. I would estimate, professionally, 25 years.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: I most commonly write lyric and melody (top line) for my cients.
