🎷 Jazz saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist & sound engineer with 10+ years of experience. Played festivals across Europe & Asia. I deliver expressive wind recordings and clean, musical mixes from my studio in Barcelona. Warm tone. Fast turnaround. Great communication.

Hi! I’m Edu Cabello — saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist and sound engineer based in Barcelona. I specialize in recording and mixing jazz and acoustic music, with over 10 years of professional experience both on stage and in the studio.

I offer high-quality wind recordings (soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, flute, Dizi, Bb and bass clarinet) tailored to your music’s vibe and dynamic. My playing focuses on tone, phrasing and musical sensitivity — whether you need a soulful solo, background textures or full wind sections.

As a touring artist, I’ve performed in festivals across Europe and Asia, collaborating with musicians and creators in diverse creative contexts. That experience helps me adapt to different styles and bring emotional depth to every session.

On the technical side, I work with professional gear (Neumann, AKG, Focusrite) and monitor using Ollo X1 headphones. I use Logic Pro X and analog emulation plugins by Universal Audio and Waves — including tape and tube processors — to deliver clean, warm recordings and polished, musical mixes.

I’m committed to clear communication, fast turnaround and making sure your track gets exactly the sound and energy it needs. Let’s make something beautiful together!

Interview with Edu Cabello

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: As a work for my therapy sessions, after years of great anxiety I wrote a story and composed music for it. Then recorded my 2nd album as a leader: El Bosque, and started performing with some visual artists. After lots of work I got the opportunity to make a tour through China performing this special music for a lot of people, and reaching them my message.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Make sure to clearly communicate your musical vision, references, and expectations, the more I understand your project, the better I can serve it. Don’t worry about technical language, just share the feeling you want to express. I’m here to help bring it to life with care, tone, and timing.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: My musical instruments, for sure!
