I had the big honor of meeting Mr Lopez Mallmann on Facebook! I was looking for a Composer of end theme for my movie "Tragic" (A film from 2024). Ignacio messaged me very fast and he very kind. Such great manners and very talented with classical training. He works very fast and loves deadline. We spoke for hours and hours and messaged each other all the time so we could be on the same page when it came to the side of filmmaking and the world of music and how to combine the 2 mediums. As far as I know I believe my film tragic was the 1st film he had ever composed music for.100% satisfied servi

Interview with Ignacio López Mallmann

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Honestly, I’m very proud of all the music I’ve created so far, but the song "Reins of the Storm" stands out significantly for its artistic and technical traits

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am currently working on a devotional song about the Most Holy Blood of Jesus Christ, as next month it will be commemorated in the Catholic Church. I am composing the music and producing the recording simultaneously, while also managing the participation in this project of a very talented Nigerian singer with a large social media following named Ifunanya Nwangene. This project holds both artistic and spiritual value for me personally

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: That depends on the budget, but in order to achieve expressiveness and therefore quality in the final results, the budget should not be a limitation

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: You'll get something very well crafted, beautiful, and that stands out from the mainstream trends in the music and entertainment industry

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: There's always something new and different to work on, no two jobs are ever the same, like a never-ending adventure

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: An axe, flint and steel, a fishing net, a Swiss Army knife, and a solar-powered radio (If there were no fresh water on the island, I would trade the axe for a QuenchSea)

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: Intense, mysterious, sweet and wild

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: In my view, Anton Baranov is currently the world's finest classical guitarist, just as Daniil Trifonov is at the piano and Janine Jansen at the violin. I aspire to compose modern classical music for all of these exceptional artists

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Often, you don't know what's next until you complete what you're working on. Making a detailed, perfect plan is impossible. You must pay attention and update to the demands of the music and the project step by step. If you're not flexible, you'll never be truly productive and creative

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: I'm very versatile with music styles but right now in my free time I'm experimenting with world music with epic-ancient vibes, which is often very suitable in the video game industry

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: From an artistic point of view I can tune easily with the mood and atmosphere of the project, and from there get the inspiration needed to create the right music for that job, plus I’m a dedicated worker who enjoys on pursuing the project’s vision until we ge it

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: Said in a single word: bring life. I believe music is like a living creature whose personality and soul you can bring to the surface when you work on it properly

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: Studio One, Ace Studio, Notion 6 plus several high quality VST

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: Jhoann Sebastian Bach, Eddie Offord, James Horner, Vangelis, Ludwig van Beethoven

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: Compose original music and produce the recordings of that music
