Smooth, powerful, and soulful — I’m a versatile vocalist, topliner, and songwriter with credits across pop, worship, R&B, and indie.
Hey! I’m a vocalist, topliner, and songwriter working in pop, worship, R&B, gospel, and indie. My voice is smooth, powerful, emotional, and carries a bit of soul — perfect for everything from vibey summer tracks to heart-wrenching ballads.
I’ve worked with artists like Mack Brock, Jody McBrayer, VoxMusic, Connection Music, Brian Free & Assurance, and more — offering everything from background vocals to full song writes. I got my start in church, joined the worship team as a teen, and found my songwriting stride after attending a writing camp in 2020.
Clients say I’m easy to work with, great at communicating, and always deliver high-quality results. I like to start by hearing your vision and reference ideas, then tailor my approach to fit. Whether we co-write live or I take the lead independently, I’ll send drafts at each key stage so you stay involved and excited. I track with an MXL 990 — a mic that pairs beautifully with my tone — and I always aim to overdeliver. I can also track with a Nuemann U87 if preferred.
If you’re looking for pro vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and a smooth, collaborative process — let’s make something great together.

Interview with Josiah Palmer
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Every project is different, and I don't just mean the sound. There's such a variety of reasons music gets made and I love being involved in all the different varieties – from party music to travel commercials to jingles. They all require something different and it's fun to be a part of the process.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Hire someone who naturally does what you're looking for. It can be tempting to hire any person that has a good voice or can produce something cheap or fast, but if they haven't already created the sound that you're looking for, it's unlikely they're gonna hit it dead on without a lot of revisions and time spent "training" them.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing and songwriting for as long as I can remember – some of my earliest memories involve making up songs and performing on stages. Between studios and stages, I've been performing multiple times a week for 18 years.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Honne - I love their style and balance of pop and soul. I think getting in the studio to create something together would be super fun and I feel like I'd learn a lot.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: People want to hear what you want to hear. If you don't like what you're creating, neither will your audience. Make choices for YOU and your audience will feel seen.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love vocal arranging. Whether it's ethereal vocals or a full vocal suite, I give a lot of time tracking vocals that add texture, depth and emotion to a track.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After getting any references, I'll rehearse at home, ask any questions to ensure I have your clear vision for the project, then take it into the studio.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio that I work out of for quick turnaround times. I also have a studio I use in Nashville that I get into weekly which has a lot more equipment available when there's a little more time alotted for the project.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Topline and BGVs
